Eikowa Contemporary in Gurgaon presents Progressive Failure, a group exhibition exploring the intricate intersection of urban memory and the built environment. The exhibition gathers works from Ganga Narayanan, Harman Taneja, Ravi Morya, Sourabh Chhawry, Vikrant Kano, and Yashna Kaul. Through archives, recorded histories, and imagined geographies, the artists trace the city’s landscape to reflect on what happens when the structures that once anchored our memories begin to give way. The presentation captures the tension inherent in the city’s growth, where everyday spaces are constantly altered, erased, or absorbed into new cycles of urban expansion.
Curatorial Vision
Curated by Yash Vikram, the exhibition questions how histories endure, transform, or vanish when the architecture that once defined them slowly fades. By engaging with the entanglement of architecture, remembering, and lived experience, the curator prompts viewers to reflect on the fragility of our surroundings. This examination highlights the profound impact that shifting physical landscapes have on our understanding of place and belonging.
