Blueprint12, in collaboration with Space118 Art Foundation, will present The Shifting of Silence, a fundraising exhibition curated by Saloni Doshi, from 30 July to 2 August 2026 at the LTC Building, Bikaner House. The preview is scheduled for 29 July, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Bringing together 32 emerging contemporary artists from across India, the exhibition is conceived as both a curatorial reflection on the present moment and a strategic intervention into the art ecosystem. Proceeds from the show will directly support the Space118 Fine Arts Grant, which provides financial assistance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for emerging artists.
The Shifting of Silence responds to the accelerated transformations shaping contemporary life, from climate instability and rapid urbanisation to geopolitical conflict and the growing influence of artificial intelligence. Rather than addressing these forces through overt spectacle, the exhibition positions art as a quieter, more attentive mode of engagement. It explores how individuals and communities absorb, process, and respond to these changes, often in ways that remain unspoken.
The participating artists engage with themes of ecology, memory, and transformation through diverse media, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and mixed media. Landscapes, bodies, and materials are approached as “living archives,” holding traces of resilience, erosion, and regeneration. The exhibition also interrogates silence as a political and emotional condition, shaped by conflict, distance, complicity, and the limits of articulation.
Artists featured in the exhibition include Aman Kumar Bavariya, Anumeha Jain, Avneet Chawla, Chandrapal Panjre, Darshan Manjare, Darshini Dalwadi Patel, Durga Prasad Chaganti, Jaydev Chosala, Kashin Patel, Kaushik Charoliya, Mansie Shah, Mithun Das, Mousam Ali Khan, Neeraj Yadav, Nishant Kumar, Owanka Bhattacharjee, Prabhujot Kumar, Prithwiraj Mali, Prutha Jain, Radhika Kacha, Riddhi Vasoya, Samir Das, Saruha Kilaru, Shimran Chatterjee, Shrikant Ranga, Shruti Goyal, Somnath Sarkar, Suresh Singha, Tushar Baraiya, Utkarsh Shakya, Vipul Badva, and Vrudhi Patel.
Speaking on the collaboration, Mandiraa Lambba, Co-founder of Blueprint12, noted that the partnership with Space118 aligns with the gallery’s long-standing commitment to sustained artist relationships and critical engagement beyond conventional gallery formats. Co-founder Riddhi Bhalla emphasised the shared vision of nurturing emerging voices while strengthening India’s contemporary art ecosystem.
Saloni Doshi, Founder of Space118 Art Foundation and curator of the exhibition, described the project as an extension of the Foundation’s commitment to building meaningful platforms for dialogue and support. She highlighted the significance of bringing the initiative to Delhi, expanding its reach while reinforcing the long-term vision of the Space118 Fine Arts Grant.
As a fundraising initiative, The Shifting of Silence proposes a sustainable model where collecting contemporary art directly contributes to the growth of future artistic practices—reinforcing the interconnectedness of patronage, production, and discourse in today’s art landscape.
