About the exhibition
Parallels of Perception brings five members of The Quartz Collective to Triveni Kala Sangam’s Shridharani Art Gallery from 8 to 15 June 2026. Curated by Georgina Maddox, the show gathers Nitasha Jaini, Gitanjali Kashyap, Ritu Aggarwal, Ritu Singh Panday and Shikha Gupta. Works range from figuration to linear abstraction, optical effects, tactile mixed media and collaborative scrolls.
Artist practices
Nitasha Jaini focuses on the male figure in suits, using bright colours and city motifs to probe corporate pressure and restricted masculinity. Gitanjali Kashyap works in measured linear abstraction and Op-art‑adjacent geometry that plays with light, shadow and inner direction. Ritu Aggarwal deconstructs architecture into playful trompe-l’œil grids and stitched surfaces that shift with viewing angle.
Key themes
Ritu Singh Panday channels natural forces and environmental crises into thick textures and dramatic colour transitions. Shikha Gupta uses soft abstraction and collaborative art therapy projects to surface forgotten stories, notably with a scroll titled “Now I hear You” that works with found objects and tribal voices. Across the show, the artists question patriarchy, resilience and communal care.
