Krishen Khanna, born in 1925 in pre-partitioned Lahore, is one of India’s most celebrated artists and painters. His most notable works include the Bandwallas and the Truckwallas. Leaving behind his life as a banker, Krishen decided to pick up the paintbrush and pursue art full-time. Not only has he inspired a new generation of artists with his work, but Khanna has also been honored with the Rockefeller Fellowship, the Padma Shri, and the Padma Bhushan.

1.) Grosvenor Gallery
Grosvenor Gallery was first established by the American sociologist and writer Eric Estorick after the Second World War in England. It is known for its focus on Indian and Pakistani modern and contemporary art. The gallery represents the estate of F.N. Souza and has exhibited works by other prominent Indian artists like M.F. Husain, S.H. Raza, and Syed Sadequain.
