Aditiya Singh’s Solo Show ‘Where is Jennifer?’ Currently in View at Mumbai

Method Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, is currently showcasing Where is Jennifer?, a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Aditiya Singh. The show is on view until December 28, 2025, and presents a series of paintings in acrylic, ink, and watercolour that explore themes of presence, absence, identity, and illusion.

In this exhibition, Singh examines the absurdity and humour of creative failure through his repeated attempts to capture the likeness of American actor Jennifer Aniston. Each rendering becomes a distorted and reimagined version, blurring the line between subject and idea. The artist describes this process not as failure but as discovery — a reflection of his intuitive way of making, where accidental forms and spontaneous marks reveal faces and figures through pareidolia.

The works on view are characterised by raw, emotive energy and an improvisational approach. Singh’s paintings move between the deliberate and the accidental, allowing colour and form to follow emotional impulse rather than formal order. The result is a body of work that resists neat resolution and embraces the unfinished and uncertain.

Born in Mumbai, Aditiya Singh is a graduate of Rachna Sansad Academy of Fine Arts. His practice spans painting, mixed media, and experimental collaborations across visual and performing arts. His works have been exhibited in venues such as Jehangir Art Gallery, Prince of Wales Museum, and Tao Art Gallery, and have also appeared in international film and music collaborations.

Method Kala Ghoda, known for supporting emerging and experimental art practices, continues its commitment to providing a platform for artists who challenge conventions and engage with contemporary cultural dialogues.

Where is Jennifer? remains open to the public at Method Kala Ghoda until December 28, 2025.
