Born in 1979 in Odisha, Abhipsa Pradhan is a distinguished contemporary artist based in Delhi, whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation art. With over two decades of experience, her art blends indigenous traditions with global modern experimentation. Rooted in her rural upbringing, her work reflects a deep connection to community, nature, and heritage, while engaging with contemporary art sensibilities. Pradhan’s work has been showcased in over 60 exhibitions nationally and internationally and is held in prestigious collections. Her accolades include the National Lalit Kala Akademi Award (2023), AIFACS Award (2022), Prafulla Dhanukar Award (2022), and Junior Fellowship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Government of India.
