Dual Solo Exhibitions at Method Kala Ghoda in Mumbai

Method Kala Ghoda

Harshh Kumar and Dheeraj Jadhav Present Bold New Works in Mumbai, bringing their artistic voice to Method Kala Ghoda this May

If you’re exploring contemporary art in Mumbai this summer, make space for an unforgettable experience at Method Kala Ghoda. From May 16 to June 15, 2025, the gallery hosts two thought-provoking solo exhibitions:

  • After Silence by Harshh Kumar
  • Inheritance of a Feeling by Dheeraj Jadhav

Presented together in one venue, these exhibitions invite you into a contemplative world of abstraction, memory, emotion, and healing — each artist offering a distinct yet resonant visual language.

Dheeraj Jadhav: Inheritance of a Feeling

A meditative reflection on cultural memory and emotional depth

On the ground floor, Mumbai-based artist Dheeraj Jadhav presents a series of monochromatic inkblot works that delve into ancestral symbolism, Banjara folklore, and the power of emotional intelligence.

Rather than aiming for symmetry, Jadhav’s forms are fluid and intuitive, like memories made visible. One artwork, rendered in colour, becomes a poetic gesture of transformation, standing out in an otherwise black-and-white series.

“This work isn’t about answers, but about reflection — the kind that connects us to where we come from.”

says Jadhav

Why see this:

  • Explores cultural roots through abstract forms
  • Offers a space for introspection and personal connection
  • Engages with both contemporary emotion and historical memory

 Harshh Kumar: After Silence

An invitation to feel, pause, and reconnect through abstraction

On the mezzanine level, Delhi-based artist Harshh Kumar offers a vivid counterpoint with After Silence — a series of abstract works using gesture, texture, and intense colour to trace emotion across space.

Each piece resists conventional form, focusing instead on movement, presence, and intuition. In Kumar’s view, silence isn’t emptiness, but a concentrated force — a place where feeling quietly takes shape.

“These works are about sensing, not decoding. They speak when you slow down.”

says Harshh Kumar

Why see this:

  • Bold use of color and motion to express unspoken emotion
  • Inspired by landscapes, memory, and shifting identity
  • Creates a sensory environment of introspection and release
