Anant Art will open Cartographies of Remembrance, a group exhibition under its Studio Catalyst programme, at its Safdarjung Enclave space in New Delhi on 17 July 2026, with the show on view until 14 August 2026. The exhibition brings together 12 artists and looks at the contemporary city as a palimpsest shaped by memory, lived experience, and material traces.
Exhibition focus
The curatorial premise positions the city not as a fixed metropolis but as a surface constantly rewritten over time, while still holding traces of what came before. The exhibition also explores how urban space is experienced emotionally and psychologically, moving between personal memory and collective experience. Works in the show are expected to examine domestic spaces, architectural remnants, objects, and the everyday as carriers of belonging, nostalgia, and absence.

Participating artists
The exhibition features Ayantika Sajwal, Bhimanshu Pandel, Dakshayani Chippada, Deepanwita Das, Dolla Shikder, Katyayini Gargi, Parth Itwala, Ritwika Ganguly, Sanyukta Kudtarkar, Sejal Solanki, Srinia Chowdhury, and Surendra Dewasi.
About Studio Catalyst
Studio Catalyst was launched by Anant Art in 2025 as a two-year programme designed to support artists through learning, making, showing, mentorship, and public visibility. The gallery says the initiative extends beyond exhibitions to include residencies and longer-term support structures, with the goal of nurturing emerging practices and artistic continuity. Its first exhibition under the banner was Mirror / Mirror (2024) in Noida.
