Ashish Kushwaha’s Landscapes of Memory at New Exhibition

Ashish Kushwaha Explores Landscapes of Memory at Palette Art Gallery

Palette Art Gallery in New Delhi will present Where The Sky Remembers, a solo exhibition of paintings by Ashish Kushwaha from April 23 to May 23, 2026. The show runs daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 14, Golf Links.

The exhibition features recent works in watercolour and acrylic, spanning landscapes that reflect Ashish Kushwaha’s deep connection with nature and memory. Born in Chhattisgarh in 1987, Kushwaha grew up in a family of farmers. His early years around open fields shaped a lasting sensitivity to land and environment. After training at Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Ashish Kushwaha worked at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, a period that refined his visual language. Now based at Kaladham Artist Colony, Greater Noida, he continues to paint nature as a space of introspection and quiet resistance.

About the Exhibition

Where The Sky Remembers portrays sweeping terrains, calm waters, and expansive skies. Human figures rarely appear, yet traces of habitation, a hut, a boat, or distant houses. The artworks remind viewers of life’s fragile presence within vast ecosystems. Animals inhabit these scenes as co-inhabitants, not symbols, emphasizing a world where all living forms share equal ground.

Art of Ashish Kushwaha

Travel to the Himalayas, including Himachal, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir, influences many paintings. Kushwaha transforms these journeys into luminous visions, using bold pinks, blues, and greens. Also his is work blends realism and imagination, evoking both serenity and unease. Each canvas stands as a meditation on ecological fragility and the beauty of coexistence.

Palette Art Gallery is founded by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna in 2001. It has been a recognized space for contemporary Indian art.

Where The Sky Remembers affirms Kushwaha’s place among artists who see landscape as living memory.
