Kerala Tourism’s landmark all-India photo exhibition ‘Lenscape Kerala’ concluded its Mumbai chapter at Jehangir Art Gallery after a vibrant week-long run that drew art lovers, photographers, and travellers alike.
Inaugurated by noted filmmaker and photographer Sooni Taraporevala, the exhibition featured 75 captivating frames by 10 leading travel and media photographers, offering visual narratives of Kerala’s enchanting landscapes, heritage, and cultural diversity.
Curated by Uma Nair, with Balan Madhavan as Director of Photography, Lenscape Kerala unfolded as a rich visual journey through Kerala’s forests, hills, backwaters, coastal villages, and festivals. Participating photographers included Amit Pasricha, Aishwarya Sridhar, Natasha Kartar Hemrajani, Saurabh Chatterjee, Manoj Arora, H Satish, Kounteya Sinha, Shivang Mehta, Saibal Das, and Umesh Gogna.
A special highlight of the Mumbai edition was a masterclass held on February 13, where several participating photographers engaged with audiences on the art of travel and documentary photography.
Speaking through an earlier message, Kerala Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas described the initiative as a “moving platform that carries the land’s warmth and vibrance,” while reaffirming the state’s commitment to promoting cultural pluralism and experiential travel.
Following its successful Mumbai showing, Lenscape Kerala now moves on to Pune (Feb 18–20) before continuing to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Surat, carrying forward Kerala’s visual storytelling across India.
