The India Art Fair, taking place at the end of Delhi’s winter and promising a lively celebration of creativity, innovation, and artistic interaction, is getting ready to open from 5 to 8 February 2026. The cultural calendar shifts toward one of India’s most anticipated art events. This time around, the art festival is vibrant with fresh pieces by modern artists, new galleries, and more. In the capital city, artists, fans, and critics are excitedly awaiting its emergence as a forum for discussions on politics, taste, power, money, memory, and more.
India Art Fair, a premier venue for modern and contemporary art in South Asia, unites galleries, artists, collectors, institutions, and art enthusiasts from around the world, and this year’s edition is expected to be more immersive, varied, and richer than before.
Record-Breaking 133 Exhibitors
The 17th India Art Fair, featuring 94 galleries and 26 new participants, including prestigious regional and international organisations, is well known for its record-breaking gallery participation. By showcasing the most up-to-date South Asian artists with renowned international artists and sought-after design, the expo further solidifies its position as the region’s top art destination.

The art fair location will become a living canvas, featuring gigantic outdoor installations, interactive displays, and conceptual pieces that reflect the depth and diversity of the contemporary art scene. These installations are ideal for families, students, and first-time visitors, as they let them experience art.
“We are delighted to unveil a programme set to bring the city and the wider region alive for our 17th edition. This year marks an important step in building new bridges for South Asian art—taking its talent to the world. As South Asian art enters a new moment of possibility, we are proud to have supported its evolution throughout the fair’s 17-year legacy. We look forward to welcoming institutional leaders, industry pioneers, patrons, writers, artists at every stage of their journeys, and the wider community to Delhi this February”, said Jaya Asokan, Fair Director, India Art Fair.
This year, art air exhibitions offer a unique opportunity to view the early works of artists who will shape the future and to encounter new voices redefining India’s creative vocabulary. In the era of AI, Indian art fairs showcase how Indian artists are using technology to push boundaries through VR experiences, AI-assisted artworks, and multimedia collaborations, highlighting and creating new stories in the age of artificial intelligence.
In addition to the exhibition, panel discussions, guided walks, hands-on workshops, and conversations with artists and curators, the festival also features highlights.
