The Gujral Foundation to Present Colomboscope Alliances in New Delhi

The Gujral Foundation will present Colomboscope Alliances, a special exhibition featuring artistic projects and dialogues with allies of Colomboscope, Sri Lanka’s leading interdisciplinary arts festival. The exhibition will be open for public viewing from October 31 to November 1, 2025, at The Gujral House, 16 Firoze Gandhi Marg, New Delhi, from 4 PM to 7 PM daily.

Conceived in collaboration with The Gujral Foundation, a long-term partner of Colomboscope, the exhibition will feature artists who have participated in previous editions of the festival, alongside selected works from The Gujral Collection. The showcase addresses narratives including migration, feminist fantasy, Indigenous sovereignty, unequal development, and ecological ruination.

Participating artists include Basir Mahmood, Chathuri Nissansala, Hema Shironi Joseph, Pallavi Paul, Pushpakanthan Pakkiyarajah, Prasad Hettiarachchi, Rajni Perera, Rupaneethan Pakkiyarajah, Sangita Maity, Sarker Protick, and Subas Tamang.

The event marks Colomboscope’s first engagement in India, led by Artistic Director Natasha Ginwala on the invitation of Feroze Gujral. According to the exhibition materials, “For over a decade, Colomboscope has cultivated a dynamic space for contemporary culture in South Asia—bringing together innovative forms of cultural storytelling, regional networks of mutual support, and critical engagements with the pressing issues of our collective present.”

The exhibition celebrates the prelude to Colomboscope’s ninth edition, Rhythm Alliances, scheduled to take place across sites in Colombo from January 21 to 31, 2026.

The Gujral Foundation, a non-profit trust founded in 2008 by Feroze and Mohit Gujral, supports Indian and South Asian contemporary art and cultural initiatives. Colomboscope, founded in 2013, is an interdisciplinary arts festival and creative learning platform based in Sri Lanka that presents contemporary art in dialogue with the region’s historical, ecological, and social contexts.

A preview is scheduled for October 30, 2025.
