IndiGalleria has organized ‘Rhythmic Sagas’, the first solo exhibition in Delhi by Sri Lankan artist Raja Segar. The show opened on October 9th, 2025, at LTC, Bikaner House, New Delhi, with Indian painter Arpana Caur as the chief guest. The exhibition runs through October 18th, with daily viewing hours from 11 am to 7 pm.
Curated by Aakshat Sinha, the exhibition presents Segar’s figurative cubist works that depict musicians, dancers, tea pluckers, mythological figures, and scenes from daily life. His style combines geometric forms with what observers describe as a refractive visual effect, characterized by bold colors and spiritual symbolism.
Segar’s work has been exhibited previously in Sri Lanka, Australia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. This Delhi showing includes both earlier works and new pieces created during the artist’s recent time in the city.
IndiGalleria, primarily an online platform, has been expanding its activities to include physical exhibitions. Founder Shashank Maurya described the exhibition as an effort to facilitate cultural exchange between India and Sri Lanka.
According to Segar, his artistic approach focuses on capturing what he calls “the rhythms of everyday life” through visual representation of movement and form. Curator Sinha noted that the artist works prolifically and characterized his style as carrying “tales within every rhythmic line and prism of colour.”
The exhibition follows IndiGalleria’s participation in international art shows such as World Art Dubai. The gallery has stated that it aims to bring international artists to Indian audiences through such initiatives.
