Miami Art Week transforms into the world’s most vibrant art hub from December 1–7, 2025, with a constellation of fairs, exhibitions, and cultural programming that redefine the global contemporary art calendar. At its epicenter is Art Basel Miami Beach, the anchor fair celebrating its 23rd anniversary, presenting over 250 galleries from 35 countries showcasing works by more than 4,000 artists at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The public days run December 5–7, with VIP previews on December 3–4, marking a spectacular convergence of collectors, curators, and creative minds.
Beyond Art Basel’s grandeur lies an expansive ecosystem of satellite fairs catering to diverse artistic sensibilities. Art Miami, Miami’s longest-running contemporary fair celebrating its 35th anniversary, presents over 160 galleries from 24 countries at One Herald Plaza starting December 2. CONTEXT Art Miami, the edgier counterpart, curates emerging voices and boundary-pushing work alongside Art Miami’s polished presentations, both running through December 7. Design Miami complements the visual arts with curated design studios, including a new “Design Miami 2.0” section highlighting eight compelling contemporary design studios.
For those exploring emerging talent, NADA Miami showcases nearly 140 galleries spanning 30 countries and 65 cities, from Buenos Aires to Lagos, December 2–6, with first-time exhibitors adding fresh curatorial energy. SCOPE Art Show, celebrating its 25th anniversary, expands beyond visual art with multidisciplinary programming across design, music, technology, and wellness, featuring over 80 international galleries through December 7. Specialized fairs amplify diverse artistic perspectives: INK Miami Art Fair dedicates itself to works on paper and celebrates its 19th anniversary with free public entry in the historic South Beach Art Deco District; AfriKin Art 2025, Miami’s only fair exclusively devoted to contemporary African and African diaspora artists, runs through December 7; and PINTA Miami’s fourth edition centers Ibero and Latin American art from 35 galleries at The Hangar in Coconut Grove, December 4–7.
Untitled Art Miami Beach, positioned on the sand with new guest curators including Petra Cortright, debutes its Artist Spotlight sector for in-depth solo presentations through December 7. Aqua Art Miami, nestled within a classic South Beach hotel, maintains its relaxed vibe while deepening curatorial pairings and daily programming highlighting contemporary culture, December 3–7.
The fair sprawls across neighborhoods. Red Dot Miami and Spectrum Miami collectively display work by over 1,000 artists to 40,000 international visitors at Mana Wynwood, December 3–7. Downtown Miami Art Week, now in its third year, opens December 1 across multiple Flagler Street venues, including Aura Copeland Gallery, welcoming thousands with daily programming celebrating emerging and established artists. Wynwood’s ARTE NXT and photoMIAMI, December 2–7, completes the landscape of diverse artistic expression.
Beyond commercial fairs, museums and cultural institutions programmed throughout the week invite deeper engagement. The Pérez Art Museum Miami, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, and numerous galleries activate with special exhibitions and panel discussions. The week culminates with a community-focused spirit, featuring FREEUNITY DAY on Sunday, December 7, offering free museum admission and family-friendly programming.
Miami Art Week 2025 catalyzes a global dialogue on contemporary artistic practice, from artificial intelligence and digital media intersections to cultural representation and emerging artistic voices. The convergence of established powerhouses and scrappy alternative fairs creates an ecosystem where market dynamics coexist with curatorial rigor, newcomers discover their voices alongside masters, and Miami itself becomes a living canvas for the year’s most compelling creative conversations.
