Abirpothi

Jaipur, Rajasthan

Founded in 1978 by Nand Kishore Chaudhary, Jaipur Rugs began with just two looms and a vision to empower rural artisans through craftsmanship. What started as a small family business in Rajasthan has today grown into one of India’s most respected luxury rug brands with a global presence.

Headquartered in Jaipur, the brand works with over 40,000 artisans across more than 600 villages in India, with women forming a significant part of its artisan network. Jaipur Rugs follows a unique grassroots-to-global model, bringing looms directly into villages and allowing artisans to work from their homes while preserving traditional weaving techniques.

Known for its handcrafted rugs and carpets, the brand combines Indian craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities. Every rug is handmade using techniques passed down through generations, carrying stories, emotions, and the individuality of the artisan behind it.

Jaipur Rugs is also recognised for initiatives like Manchaha, where artisans are encouraged to design freely based on their own imagination and experiences, turning rugs into woven artworks.

Today, Jaipur Rugs exports to more than 90 countries and has experience centres and flagship stores across cities like London, Dubai, Milan, and across India. Through the Jaipur Rugs Foundation, the company continues to invest in artisan welfare, skill development, education, and sustainable livelihoods.

More than a carpet brand, Jaipur Rugs stands as a symbol of Indian craftsmanship, human connection, and design with purpose.
