Gallery Ragini is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with a group exhibition featuring over 50 Indian artists at CCA, Bikaner House, New Delhi. Titled “Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps,” the exhibition runs from October 24-28, 2025, with daily viewing hours from 11 AM to 7 PM. Entry is free and open to the public.
Curated by Meena Vari, the exhibition brings together both established and emerging artists who have been associated with the gallery over the past two decades. The show includes works across multiple mediums—painting, sculpture, mixed media, and experimental practices—representing a cross-section of contemporary Indian art.
Among the participating artists are Ameen Khaleel, Bharti Verma, Bose Krishnamachari, Chetnaa, Dhruvi Acharya, Gigi Scaria, Harsha Chennangodu, Jagannath Panda, Mithu Sen, Murali Cheeroth, Pushpamala N, Rajan Krishnan, Rekha Rodwittiya, Sajeev Visweswaran, Valay Gada, Vibha Galhotra, Vishakha Apte, and Vivek Vilasini.
The curatorial approach draws on philosopher Gilles Deleuze’s concept of “becoming,” examining how artistic identity and practice evolve continuously rather than remaining fixed. Vari describes the exhibition as “a space of becoming” that reflects Gallery Ragini’s evolution through diverse artistic voices over twenty years.
“Each artwork becomes a strand in a larger weave of shared histories, personal memories, and collective transformations,” Vari explained in her curatorial statement.
Nidhi Jain, Founder and Director of Gallery Ragini, said the exhibition honors both the artists who have contributed to the gallery’s journey and the new generation shaping its future direction. “Twenty years ago, Ragini began as a small but passionate initiative to create a space for dialogue between artists, audiences, and ideas,” Jain said.
Since its founding, Gallery Ragini has focused on presenting contemporary Indian artists and curating exhibitions that engage with cultural and social discourse. The anniversary exhibition positions the gallery as both a preserver of artistic legacy and a platform for emerging practitioners.
Meena Vari is an independent curator whose work explores the intersection of visual culture, philosophy, and social memory, with particular attention to how artistic practices engage with and reshape collective histories.
The exhibition is presented at the Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) at Bikaner House, a cultural venue in New Delhi that hosts contemporary art exhibitions and cultural programs.
