Indian craftsmanship has always carried stories of culture, tradition, and human skill. Tattavam brings this heritage into contemporary interiors, translating traditional techniques into expressive, design-led surfaces.
Founded by Drashtii Mehtaa Rao in 2013, Tattavam began with a passion for fashion, art, and India’s rich craft traditions. Over the years, this vision has evolved into a distinctive interior collection spanning bespoke hand-embroidered wall art, wallpapers and wall coverings, and upholstery.
Each piece begins with an idea—a motif, landscape, pattern, or story—and develops through an interplay of colour, texture, and craftsmanship. From statement embroidered wall art to intricately detailed surfaces and bespoke upholstery, the collections bring depth and character to interiors.
The designs are developed in-house and can be customised to suit a space, from the theme and colour palette to scale, dimensions, and detailing.
At the heart of every creation is the artisan. Traditional techniques including Aari, Zardozi, and Resham embroidery are brought together with contemporary design, using silk threads, metallic accents, and delicate embellishments to create richly tactile surfaces.
Rooted in the Make in India philosophy, Tattavam continues to celebrate Indian artisanship while giving traditional craft a place within modern interiors.
At its core, Tattavam is a meeting point between age-old craftsmanship and contemporary design, where walls, surfaces, and furniture become canvases for Indian craft.
