Studio Lagom

Architectural & Design

Hardik Shah a visionary Architect, founded Studio Lagom as a product of all his culminated experience in various design firms. From the very beginning, Studio Lagom under Shah’s leadership set out to challenge the way architecture is often approached in India.
Studio Lagom’s practice exists to challenge the Indian architectural landscape, which is still quite unorganized, where ‘layers of materials’ have ruled over ‘purity of materials’. Studio Lagom’s belief is in the kind of architecture that gives importance to the beauty of each material and creates balance between less and more.

For Studio Lagom, design is more than just function. It’s about creating spaces that support real lifestyles and reflect the cultures. At Studio Lagom, the team treats every project with deep attention, knowing the uniqueness of each building in terms of its use, environment, and purpose. Studio Lagom’s goal had become to build in harmony with nature, incorporating natural materials into their designs.
Detailing drives their entire process. The Studio Lagom team begins by carefully mapping out every element of the design, then moves on to hands-on execution. As projects evolve, they remain open to new insights from the site itself, often revisiting and refining the details to arrive at better solutions. The architectural team believes that without such a level of care and curiosity, design can never truly come to life.

What started as a seed in 2011 has since grown into a thriving studio. Years of dedicated work and a passion for curating beauty have transformed Studio Lagom into a space that inspires creativity. It’s a place where ideas feel natural, and where the environment itself encourages thinking freely—that is what they believe is the real function of design.
