Space Karma

Interior design studio

Shweta, the founder and principal designer at Space Karma, is recognized for creating timeless spaces that reflect the personalities and lifestyles of their owners. Trained at Rachana Sansad School of Design, Mumbai, her career was shaped through years of freelancing before Space Karma was established in Ahmedabad in 2019. Over 55 projects across India and abroad have been led by her, where functionality and aesthetics were consistently balanced. Her experience as a mentor at CEPT University and participation in an advanced masterclass with Kelly Wearstler further refined her design approach, allowing her practice to evolve into a blend of cultural depth and contemporary sensibility.

Among her notable works, a 1200 sqft experience gallery was conceived as a universe where design and devotion merged. The stability of Prithvi was conveyed through marble partitions suspended delicately on iron rods, while the vastness of Akasha was embodied in intricate carvings and a custom light installation symbolizing infinity. Layered partitions and fluid corridors were arranged as a rhythmic journey, where heritage was honored and modern functionality was integrated. The result was a space that could be perceived as a temple, an office, or a gallery —  a devotional dance where architecture was transformed into poetry.
