Art Magnum and Gallery Time and Space is introducing  A Moment in Modernity, a compelling solo exhibition by acclaimed Indian modernist Haren Thakur.
Thakur’s practice spans five decades, rooted in the philosophies of Santiniketan and shaped by his deep engagement with the tribal and rural communities of eastern India. His artworks—executed in acrylic and watercolor on Nepalese rice paper—are both a tribute to vernacular aesthetics and a powerful articulation of India’s regional modernities.
Curated by renowned art historian and curator Dr. Alka Pande, the exhibition opens with a preview on April 15, 2025, and will be on view from April 16 to 25, 2025, at the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
