Architectural Designer

Founded in 2015, MISA Architects is an Ahmedabad-based practice led by principal architect Tarun Patel, rooted in the ethos of contextual and resilient design. The studio is guided by the belief that architecture should rediscover harmony between the natural and built environment, with minimal impact on habitats. Over the years, the practice has completed more than 150 projects across institutional, residential, healthcare, industrial, and community sectors, integrating passive and equitable design principles. Their philosophy is to instill soul into spaces, creating intangible experiences that engage both emotion and place.

For the Blue Lotus Cafe, MISA uses a poem as part of its narrative, expressing the project’s essence of dissolving boundaries and evoking unity.

Where Boundaries Fade
In a realm where walls dissolve,
And boundaries dare not evolve,
A space is born, serene, profound,
Where silence sings and
truth is found.
Stone and glass in sacred dance,
Invite the soul to take a chance,
To wander through, to pause,
to see,
The self within infinity.

The water still, a mirrored grace,
Reflecting time, erasing place,
The sky above, the earth below,
Merge as one in liquid glow.

Here, the “within” and
“without” entwine,
A sacred yantra, a grand design,
Each layer peels, each truth reveals,
A heart that feels, a soul that heals.

No inside here, no outside there,
No line divides the open air,
It touches you, it draws you near,
A timeless space to disappear.

Whatever mood, whatever form,
This place transforms,
this place transforms.
It holds you close, yet sets
you free,
A journey into unity.

So step inside, but leave behind,
The noise, the rush,
the cluttered mind.
For here, the infinite resides,
Where self and cosmos coincide.
